No Speed Ticket โ€“ Speed Alerts

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the app know the speed limit?

The app uses your GPS location to determine exactly which road you are driving on. It then queries a database of speed limits for that specific segment of road. While generally accurate, please always pay attention to posted speed limit signs as data might differ temporarily.

Can I use my own voice for alerts?

Yes! You can record your own voice directly within the app to serve as your speed warning. You can also upload any audio file from your device if you prefer a custom sound effect or song clip.

Does the app track my location history?

No Speed Ticket only tracks your location in real-time to provide speed alerts. Your location history is not stored on our servers. If you choose to save a trip, that data is stored locally on your device for your personal review in the "History" page.

Is my data sent to the cloud?

No. We value your privacy. All processing happens on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or driving habits to any external servers.

Does the app work offline (no internet)?

Yes! You can select and save maps for multiple areas to use the app without any internet connection. This ensures you have speed limit data even when driving in areas with poor or no signal.
